What services do you offer?

At Abode Independence Home Care, we offer private home care services to our Clients from the comfort of their own home.

 

What is private home care?

Private home care is support and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, bathing, toileting, or dressing and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), including shopping for personal items, medications reminders, meal preparation, and housekeeping. Private home care also includes companionship and sitter related task such as arranging and providing transportation on medical appointments, pet care, accompanying Clients on medical appointments, and observing and reporting changes in medical conditions. Overall, private home care includes support with everyday tasks that doctors, nurses, and medical specialists do not provide. 

 

Where are you located and what areas do you serve?

Our main office located in Henry County, GA and we serve the southern Metro Atlanta counties of South Fulton, Henry, Clayton, and Fayette. 

 

Does my insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid cover the fees associated with these services?

Currently, we accept the SOURCE and CCSP Medicaid Waivers, VA Pension Benefit, and most long-term care insurances. We also accept Private Pay payments in the forms of check, credit/debit card, or money order. 

 

What are your rates?

Abode Independence Home Care works with each Client on an individual basis to understand your specific needs, and rates are determined after your assessment.

 

How do I set up services?

Once a request for care has been made, you will receive a complimentary in-person consultation and assessment. A personalized Service Plan is developed, and a Care Partner is assigned to you.

 

Why Abode Independence Home Care vs. a private caregiver?

 

There are several things you must take into consideration when hiring someone privately:

  • Our Care Partners professionally trained.

  • All Care Partners chosen through a rigorous recruiting process.

  • All Care Partners are required to pass drug screening, background checks, fingerprint checks, and are screened for TB and Covid-19.

  • We are HIPAA Compliant: All employees are required educational training in confidentiality and understand violation of this is cause for immediate termination.

  • You will be responsible for state and federal payroll taxes and workers’ compensation insurance when you hire someone privately.
